"Ghosts and Creeps"

2025-07-18

It's the project that wouldn't die-- until, it finally DID! In typical form, I wasn't happy with the condition of _Ghosts of Glory High_, chapters one through five. And in retrospect: when I edited them, my standards were lower for the project. I don't think I had quite grasped what _Ghosts of Glory High_ *could* be-- then it be-CAME that, later on (yikes). Mainly, I was getting cloudy reading accessory descriptive sentences which lacked obvious substance. So, I spruced up those chapters quite a bit (which took a while). And then, chapters six through ten seemed perfectly fine for the most part (I poked around with this and that but changed very little).

Most creative types will (secretly) enjoy my latest contribution to /Hailey's Follies/-- a disturbing narrative series about sweet revenge, sex, mental health, and the toxicity of our cities. Like a lot of literary works on Insanely Witty Stupidity, the novel reads more like an R-rated film than some Stephen King shit-- along the veins of Larry Clark, Martin Scorsese, the Safdie brothers, or Stanley Kubrick. I've got some exciting, new dry media tools for developing a replacement _Ghosts of Glory High_ cover (the one I'm hosting makes me roll my eyes more every time I look at it). But, I'm still working out what I'd like to do (nothing's really moved me to action, yet).

If you're excited about _Ghosts of Glory High_, version 1.1's "improved" language (or say-- "The Critical Mass of the Hybridized Rodent")-- you may be wondering if I have plans for similar improvements to _Hailey's Comet_ (book one of the /Hailey's Follies/ saga). Well, my next goal is to apply similar changes to _Hailey's Comet_ (brutally dissected edition) while developing a brand new five chapter novella in tandem ("McKayla's Spice Box"). After that, I plan on doing the same type of thing with _RGK_, the introductory book for /Case's Cases/ (yeah-- I'm going back through THAT series as well). And there's another five chapter story I plan on developing while I'm working through *that*, titled "Morbid Mary"-- probably the most disturbing story idea I've ever had (wait until you get a load of THIS fuckin' thing, lol).

Lately though, work's been killin' me. At first, I was thinking maybe I'd like to make more money-- possibly fixing people's caveman, x86 Windows desktops (people are *still* using those??) I've been considering my life and the future pretty deeply for a while, though. I've grown pretty bored of babysitting aimless drones without drive or tangible goals (honestly-- interacting with most people, PERIOD). It was bad when I was eight. At forty, it's completely intolerable. And-- I'm not *doing* it, anymore. :D I say: forget about sweeping somebody else's floor and serving them coffee with a plastic smile. Support your OWN aspirations and let 'em swing, if you catch my drift (lol).

So before I pick up with _Hailey's Comet_ and "spice boxes" and whatnot, I'm gonna be taking a little break from Insanely Witty Stupidity. I'm gonna write a short story (kinda like-- the amount of time I typically spend on a single chapter for one of Insanely Witty Stupidity's projects). I'm thinking I'd like to write five in total for a separate website that shares ads with users, generating some revenue for myself. But, I just plan on writing one for now and coming back to _Hailey's Comet_. I also have plans to develop a game for the Android API that feels a lot like Super Mario World and presents an advertisement when a user completes a level. I'm pretty excited about it-- I've worked out this really simple interface that makes good use of touch displays that's unlike anything *I've* ever seen, before.

Unfortunately, I don't feel comfortable discussing those projects on Insanely Witty Stupidity (*specifics*, anyway) for fear of retaliation by potential advertisers (some may get cute and revoke my advertising rights simply because they dislike one of Insanely Witty Stupidity's projects). This is the sad reality of advertising-- the advertisers desire some degree of control over associated content. With Insanely Witty Stupidity, the mindset's always been "Fuck everybody. Fuck advertisers. Fuck naysayers. Fuck bosses and dissention and apathy." And well-- it's a little late to change that, now (lol).

So you'll have to excuse me for a bit while I begin work on that mysterious side project (which I can't name, yet). And I'll be chatting about the first few chapters of _Hailey's Comet_ (brutally dissected edition), version 1.3 very soon. This is (honestly) an exciting prospect for Insanely Witty Stupidity (and the SMART PLAY). Some day soon, it *could* mean I'm afforded the simple pleasure of maintaining the site at my leisure (not just-- whenever some oppressive dick-head decides that's okay). In the meantime, enjoy the new and improved _Ghosts of Glory High_. ;)
