Well-- which version would you like to read? I revised Hailey's Comet June 5, 2021. I named the re-worked version "Hailey's Comet (brutally dissected edition)". I would recommend that people read this version. It is far superior to the original. Many will argue it contains more adult content than the original (mainly graphic sexual content). And (while this is somewhat correct), the first version actually contains a great deal of adult content as well. The main difference is that the majority of the original narrative's language has been enhanced (making it more clear, but not necessarily adding content to the story). And yes, a few visual descriptions have been added (that *really* were missing from the original). The main reason descriptive language was added later is that-- I originally wrote in a way that was appeasing to people I believed were my audience. I no longer write for an audience. I simply tell people-- if you don't like it, don't read it.
The first version (copyrighted 2012) is full of pretentious dialog and plot-holes. I find it to be laughable (at best). The behavior of characters in the story is very strange (their actions do not always make sense). It is as if a child attempted to write an adult's book?? But (for historical purposes), the original is still available for reading. The only good reason to poke through the original would be like-- you're curious how it compares with the brutally dissected edition (the definitive version). And, you would like to see how my writing has evolved since I wrote it (and how I have evolved as a person). For a more detailed analysis of the changes I made, check out the Witty News article I wrote about the project.
