* I am particularly proud of my vlc collection. Not only do all the common functions of vlc actually work. I have successfully recorded video using various webcams *with* audio. :o And, I compiled ffmpeg with full mpeg, mp4, ogg, avi, mp3, and wma support. vlc usually records audio/ video streams to avi or mpeg by default. I've used the ffmpeg package included in my vlc collection to convert webcam streams to all the standard video formats with full audio/ video encoding. I've used the same ffmpeg package to rotate/ resize video, extract short audio/ video clips from larger ones, zoom/ transcode/ demux/ filter audio/ video, and modify id3 tags.

* Slackware 14.2 was released July 1, 2016. mozes (the current maintainer of slackwarearm) claims he will have a release for hardware floating point arm systems in September. Since the Raspberry Pi supports hardware floating point, I'm going to wait for mozes to finish. Then, I'm going to begin recompiling these packages for 14.2.

* I use most of these packages regularly. So, I'm very curious about issues people run into while using them. If you notice any (that *I* can actually fix by recompiling a package), you can email me at thedictator2@gmail.com.

Random Fact: The name "Insanely Witty Stupidity" is a sarcastic homage to William Shakespeare's pretentious (and completely confusing) application of poetic literature in character dialog. After all-- the lack of realism portrayed by Shakespeare character interactions makes it difficult for people to take the work seriously.
