2022-08-25 It's been over two months since I wrote a Witty News article. I'm still working through the second chapter of my (peculiar) hybrid vermin saga. lol. I like the way things are turning out. But, I've been having a lot of trouble writing. Pretty much, I reserve Saturday (and (sometimes) Sunday) for literary work. But lately, it seems like shit's been piling up on me-- and I end up burning time on Saturday I would much rather spend writing. If it's not a sink full of dishes or a cat box needing to be scrubbed-- it's (bizarre) crystal build-up on my swamp cooler pads or a Bash script needing some help. On the weekends lately, it's like I can't win for losing. But, the project is still coming along. And once I finish processing the story's existing second chapter, I believe progress will pick up and become more steady. I really like what I *tried* to do with the project (and its basic plot). But, it needs some thoughtful TLC and plenty of patience. Lately, I've been working on descriptive brevity (does-- that actually make any sense? :\ ) And sometimes, I spend a great deal of effort (when re-purposing old work) crafting one or two thoughtful sentences from five or six pretty careless descriptive or "how-to" attempts. What's the story about? Well-- I don't wanna give too much away. But basically, this kinda narcissistic dick-head is trying to Frankenstein a super intelligent rodent from Guinea pigs, mice, and rats. And, well-- some shit be happenin'. :D I finally installed Bonslack-ARMv7-15.0 on my servers. So, my website is now served by that instead of SlackwareArm-14.2. Dr. Mozes seems to think my computer systems are not good enough to run his Slackware port. So-- he can suck a fat, floppy pecker. :D I'm still installing Slackware-15.0 on all my systems (there are quite a few). I'm working on adding a 32-gigabyte RAM disk to my network (oh-- that'll come in handy). I've been trying to find time to link more news articles for Insanely Witty Stupidity's index page. But, that shit ain't happenin'. When I *do* find time, there's no news to report. :\ I mean-- just ol' President Brandon screwing the American people out of every dollar to their names. But, that's not news. That's-- olds. I'm hoping to finish chapter two of "The Critical Mass of the Hybridized Rodent" this weekend. But-- pffffft-- we'll see about *that* shit. I do have plans to write another Hailey's Follies book after that (I've already designed the plot and everything). I've been thinking a lot about Case's Cases, lately. There are two more books I'm preparing to write for the series. I've been kicking around some really whack Case's Cases ideas for a good while, now. But, they'll have to wait a little bit longer. |
| Random Fact: Slackware (a GNU/Linux system maintained under an emphasis of function over form) is the official operating system used to host Insanely Witty Stupidity. Many packages are compiled using various Slackware systems for the purpose of developing the site. And, Insanely Witty Stupidity happily shares those precompiled packages with its users (because-- people may find them useful). |
