An Update About Ghosts of Glory High and Some Changes for Insanely Witty Stupidity

2021-11-01

This weekend, I completed chapter eight of ten for book two of the Hailey's Follies series (titled "Ghosts of Glory High"). In preparation for the new narrative's release, I added some interesting artwork to the Hailey's Follies portals. An image is picked at random from this folder and used as an html background tile for the series' directories. I also revised book one (titled "Hailey's Comet") and named the re-worked version "Hailey's Comet (brutally dissected edition)". You might take a quick look around if you're interested in the series. As for Ghosts of Glory High's release date-- I hate to be one of those dick-heads who's like: "It'll be ready when it's ready." But, if you asked me last August (when I started writing Ghosts of Glory High), I would've told you I was hoping for a May-June of 2021 finish date. It's November. lol.

I predict (barring additional interruptions), a late January to early February of 2022 finish date. I'm thinking I may need to switch jobs pretty soon (due to unsafe work conditions). But, that can wait until next summer as far as I know (when we are busiest). But if I gotta spend a lot of time interviewing and "padding" resumes any time during the next 3-4 months, that could interfere with progress. I also dislocated my left, middle finger a while back (which has cost me a lot of free time). It resulted in a permanently swollen joint, unfortunately. But thankfully, I can still type just fine. It's always a hassle working around the restrictions *other* people create for you. When you create one for yourself-- that's even worse.

I assume I'll be flying to Michigan for Christmas to see my girl, too. But, I am figuring that into the January-February deadline. In other words, there's a two week period near the end of December where I will be unable to write. My girlfriend and I only get so much time together. So when we're together, I don't like to occupy my time with hobbies. She's the same way. I removed my "follows" links 2021-08-17 because I no longer use html based IRC like Facebook and Twitter. I replaced them with so called "Insanely Thoughtful Articles" (lol). I got tired of seeing links to fascist, socialist poppycock on other websites.

For example, Richard Stallman (a hacker who founded the GNU project and the Free Software Foundation) shares unsavory stupidity on the main page of his personal website. The fictional articles Stallman collects spread pseudoscience, encourage authoritarian entitlement, and scold humanity. Facebook and Twitter both list unproven assertions along the edges of their pages. CNN and MSNBC surround their internet portals with suggestive editorials that trigger hatred in unknowledgeable patrons. As long as deceptive idealists haplessly disseminate thoughtless ignorance, I propose the following inquiry-- what would it hurt if Insanely Witty Stupidity shared the truth with people?

I am (somewhat) concerned GoDaddy will shut off Insanely Witty Stupidity over this move. After all-- the company is forged from communist fascists the articles I share typically scrutinize. However, Epik (a registrar that prides itself in its customers' free speech) offers a simple transition for domains ruthlessly assaulted for speaking the truth. So, I can always switch Insanely Witty Stupidity to Epik as a domain name registrar. On pages other than Insanely Witty Stupidity's main index, "random facts" are disseminated instead of Insanely Thoughtful Articles (implemented 2021-10-08). It would be incredibly annoying seeing the same article introductions on every single page of the website. So, I chose something a little more fun for the remainder of the domain's contents. For additional updates about Insanely Witty Stupidity, check out the site's changelog from time to time. ;)

Random Fact: The name "Insanely Witty Stupidity" is a sarcastic homage to William Shakespeare's pretentious (and completely confusing) application of poetic literature in character dialog. After all-- the lack of realism portrayed by Shakespeare character interactions makes it difficult for people to take the work seriously.
