The Honest Recipe License is a document that can protect recipe projects ONLY. THIS RECIPE PROJECT IS RELEASED WITHOUT WARRANTY. IT IS DISTRIBUTED IN THE HOPE THAT IT WILL BE USEFUL. THE PROJECT IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED. THIS INCLUDES IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTIBILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. DAMAGES ALLEGED TO HAVE OCCURED AS A RESULT OF USING THE PROJECT OCCURED BECAUSE A USER EMPLOYED THE PROJECT KNOWING FULL WELL WHAT THE RISKS WERE. A recipe project released under the conditions of the Honest Recipe License was created by an author (or authors). But, the project belongs to NO ONE!! A recipe is a series of instructions arranged to solve a problem. It is intellectual information that cannot be owned. The information was housed using long term storage. No one has ever owned it. It is not currently owned. No one will ever own this information in the future. Definition of a Recipe Project A "recipe project" is an algorithm (or collection of algorithms) composed of recipe instructions ONLY. Recipe instructions are (of course) an arrangement of steps that can solve a problem. They are considered a type of "source code" intended to be employed ("compiled" and/or "linked" for example) to craft a final product: including byte (or object) code for a target system. But, recipe instructions ARE NOT a complete or usable product such as byte (or object) code that has been manufactured by assembling and/or linking source code (either automatically or manually). Recipe instructions can include code for: a compiler (such as a C compiler), an assembler (including x86, 6502, 8051, or ARM assemblers), or crafting consumables (such as beverages, cakes, muffins, or pizza). This includes compilers, assemblers, and foods (even beverages) not listed. To sum up, a recipe project is an algorithm that can be used to solve a problem.
